Kia Puāwai achieves Te Kāhui Kāhu Social Services Reaccreditation

Te Kāhui Kāhu recently undertook a scheduled review of our services to check whether we meet the accreditation standards that apply to Kia Puāwai. Te Kāhui Kāhu is a Government agency that is responsible for Social Services Accreditation.

We are proud to confirm that we have met our accreditation standards. In the report, Te Kāhui Kāhu noted that Kia Puāwai is dedicated to the wellbeing and support of rangatahi in Aotearoa, and that we prioritise the holistic development of rangatahi. This includes a strong emphasis on cultural competence - recognising the unique needs and backgrounds of Māori and Pacifica youth, and working closely with their whānau and communities to provide culturally responsive care and guidance. The report notes that we actively engage in continuous improvement, evaluation and professional development to deliver effective services and positive outcomes for the whānau we serve.
